Newbie here so be nice. Have experience with small engines but this is first cart work I have attempted.
I have an '86 Club Car golf cart with the kf-82 engine out of the cart and am trying to get the drive clutch off. It seems to be about impossible. I have the puller and have tried many different suggestions to get it off but can't . Right now the pin is stuck in there which shouldn't be too much of a problem if I can get the darned clutch off. I have attempted to put penetrating oil in the back of it where the crank goes into the clutch just in case. I cannot see back there at all since there is about 1/2 inch between the pulley and the block. Tried tapping on the clutch while the puller is as tight as I could get it. Nothing. And do not want to break the clutch. Someone told me to let it sit fully tightened and try later. Nothing. Actually since I gave up 2 days ago it has been tight. Do not want to crack the case either and have used wood as a pry bar behind it with no luck. Any Ideas of tricks? The flywheel is still on so I can use the nut to hold with a wrench.
Thanks in advance.
