Clubcar speed adjustment

I have 95 CC DS, I adjusted the nuts and cable going to control box to get more speed out of cart, problem now is to start out you need to put the pedal to the floor, engine starts to idle then back off pedal about 50%, engine then runs and engages clutch. Cart runs good but it is hard to go at a slow speed , its either balls out or nothing. This is great on straightaways but makes it tough in the yard or in tight spots to creep slowly. Any ideas on further adjustment?

Thanks

You have the cable adjusted out to far. You can adjust the ground speed gov. on the trans, but it's a little tricky.

OK thanks, so I should bring the cable in until it has smoother starts. then how can I adjust the governor for more speed? , Ive heard of things like wire tie the governor etc but I would rather do something a bit more "mechanical" than just jerry rigging it

thanks for your help

Yes, adjust the cable for smoother starts. The wire tie is for yamaha. The adjustment for the ground speed gov is on top of the trans, the accelorator cables attach to it.
