Club Car Rear End Bearing

One of the bearings went out in the rear end of my electric Club Car golf cart. I pulled it apart and fixed it, it lasted about a week and it did it again. During that week I lowered the cart then it went out again. So I fixed it once more and lasted about a week. So I was thinking it was somthing wrong with the rear end so I put a different rear end in and it was quiet for about a week and then it got loud again. So I have talked to different golf cart places and some have no answer and I had one guy say that lowering the cart will put the rear end in a bind from no suspension and will make the bearings go bad. I told him the 1st time it happened it was still stock height, so how could that be. Please if anyone has a answer please let me know. Im tired of wearing ear plugs,LOL Thanks

I doubt if lowering the cart would affect that bearing unless you changed the angle of the rear end when you lowered it and now it's not getting oil up there...

The angle of the rear end has not changed. I talked to the guy again and he said having no suspension, that all the weight of the whole cart is bending the axle tubes, which is wearing the axle bearings out. All I did was un bolt the back side of the leaf springs and let it rest up aginst the frame. The shocks are all but bottemed out, but I do have just alittle suspension. I have the other rear end that im going to fix then reinforce the axle tubes with some metal so they wont bend. Ill let everyone know if that fixes the problem when ever I get the rear end back. I ask him if it would work and he said yup. If anyone else has a solution please let me know. Thanks for the replys

Axle bearings I could possibly agree with. In your other post you said it was the top bearing inside the case not a axle bearing. :dazed:

Yeah, thats what he said the last time I talked to him, after I had already posted. I was really at Garden City Beach when I 1st posted but know im home and I talked to him again. When I get the other rear end back ill break it down and see.
