Club Car Precedent Winter Storage and Battery Maintenance

Just purchased a 2005 Club Car Precedent golf cart and now I'm hearing about problems.
Seller said the car had a new updated controller installed and new batteries installed in 2008.
This is my first golf car and I live in southwest Mi. What do I need to do for winter storage. I have a heated building as well as cold storage area available.
What about battery maintenance and life?
If anybody has the whole scoop on this car please let me know.

There was some recalls on the 2004 and 2005 Precedents for the brake pedal assembly and steering. The heated building would be better for storing the cart but not necessary. Keep the batteries charged and add distilled water as needed.
