Club Car Parking Brake

Club Car Precedent parking brake will not engage. Can anyone give me directions on how to repair this. ssteve658

They seize up. Try lubricating the pedal assembly.

Thanks for your response dirtysouth. I tried the lubricant as you suggested and the parking brake still will not engage. It goes down easily when I press on it but won't stay.

Any other suggestion will be greatly appreciated. ssteve658

Club Car Precedents had a problem with the pedal group. I think they had a recall on it.

Make sure the accelerator pedal is coming up all the way. You can try to adjust the brake cables but if the dogs for the parking brake lock are worn you will have to replace the pedal group.
