Need some help, I have a 1996 Club Car golf cart with regen braking and rocker switch for forward and reverse.
Battery's are about 6 month old it is 48 volt golf cart. All of the sudden i have this problem of the low battery light coming on after a short use of the cart, when I stop it comes on when I start to go again it goes out the cart slows down but still makes 18 holes but is considerably slower. It seems to be taking a charge, The battery charger kicks in and then shuts off and then starts to charge, I have cleaned all connections and batterys, could I have a bad battery? Please any help would be appreciated

It could be a bad battery or the OBC. Charge the cart completely, let it sit about a hour and take voltage readings on each battery with a digital meter. Post your results.

Sorry it took so long to get back with everyone.
I finally got out to check my batterys for a a voltage test and before i started i checked all batterys for correct fluid level. All were fine except for one of the cells was frozen solid in one of the batterys.. So Im guessing that was the problem. Batterys are 8 months old. will it be ok just to replace the one?

thanks

Yes it should be fine seeing how the batteries are only 8 months old. I would get the same brand and model battery as the other 5.
