OK,started messing with the gov. cable to try and get rid of the stalling at top end.Question is now it don't want to seem to start.Did I tighten the cable to tight or do I have another problem.I know the carb need's to be gone thru but wondering about the gov to try and get it to stop quiting on high end.I know it is the gov or is there something else that shut's it off at speed.
Sorry,92 club car gasser.

Which cable did you mess with, the cable from the pedal box to the gov. arm in the rear end or the cable from the gov. to carb. ? The governor works off of the rear end not by the cables. If you adjusted something the wrong way it won't crank when you press the accelerator.

I figured out the no start as it was in the carb again but the cable I adjusted was right above the battery in a black box.Assume to be gov. or something to that effect.I removed the ground from the black box and the top end came back in.Now the cart doesn't seem to have a good low speed for putzen thru the wood's and such.

TYhat cable just adjusts your low end speed. The governor is located on the transmission. It is bracket that the 2 cables attach to. Follow the one out of the black box to the rear. on the other side of the braket is another cable going to the carb. You loosen the bolt that clamps it to the little rod coming out of the tranny. While holding the braket from moving, turn the rod coming out of the tranny with a flat head screwdriver clock wise. Tighten clamp. That should reset the governor to factory. And it should not cut out. Or, you could just remove the ground from the limiter.
