Club Car Golf Cart Vibration

My 2004 Club Car golf cart with aftermarket body and seating for four develops a vibration in the front end just as it approaches top speed. I purchased new tires with the cart-original equipment size. Probably made in China and not DOT rated. If I let off a little the vibration subsides. I have access to wheel balancing equipment, but have never seen wheel weights on a cart before. Anyone else ever experienced such a problem? :wallbash:

If your tires are not DOT approved they are not true, I ran into this also. I use tires that are made for trailers, they are made much better and don't need balancing. If you have golf cart tires a balance may not fix it, golf cart tires are not designed to run faster than 15MPH. I had one instance where the cart hopped like a kangaroo above 20 MPH, it was un-drivable.

Many thanks for the response. I think your analysis is correct. I will try to get some wear out of the new tires, but will replace with DOT tires a.s.a.p.
