Club Car Golf Cart Starts Slow Taking Off

94 Club Car electric golf cart starts slow taking off when pedal pushed all the way down. After 15'-20' speeds up to normal speed. Good batteries. I think maybe brushes in motor? Any help would be appreciated

Yes,it's probably the brushes are getting weak.

I was told that could be the contacts in the box next to the batteries. I'm not sure what they call the box but its almost like a speed controller, If they get dirty it will make the golf cart slow.
