Club Car Gas DS Battery Won't Stay Charged

It seems the battery wont stay charged on my 2005 Club Car DS gas golf cart. I have jacked up and started then disconnected positive battery and it will stay running. But if you run for quite a while and stop battery will be dead. Does any one have any direction to look.

Voltage regulator.

I agree with DS on the voltage regulater. If you want to see if the cart is charging run it about half trottle with a digital volt meter on the battery and see what the voltage is.

if you run cart at W.O.T and with a voltage meter your not seeing 13.9 to 15.7 volts if its lower or higher than that change voltage regulator..............................

I have new voltage regulator to install saturday.
