Welcome to the forum...

We're going to need a little more info on the cart. What year is it? 36 or 48 volt? Controller or resistor coil?

Some things you can check...
Make sure batteries don't need water. If they do add distilled water until the plates are covered then charge them until the charger shuts off.
Check ALL cable connections to make sure they're clean and tight.
Take a voltage reading on the batteries individually and post your results.

Cart is either 2001 or 2002, 48V. Don't know what coil is. Volt reading 8 each battery, 48 across. Connections are tight and water good.

You need to check the voltage with a digital meter. 48 volts is pretty much dead on a 48 volt system. You should be seeing close to 51 volts on a fully charged pack or 8.49 volts on the individual batteries one hour after a full charge without using the cart. You can pick up a cheap digital meter for less than 20 dollars.

Check is the air pressure in the tires. Low air pressure will slow a electric cart down quite a bit.

Will check the tire pressure, but I think they are okay too. Will also re-check the voltage. If tires are okay, and batteries are only 1 year old, any other areas to check into?

Thanks for you help.

If they're the stock tires 22 lbs. You can look on the side wall of the tire and it should say what the maximum pressure is. Air them up to the maximum.
