club car electric 1997 36 volt

I have been having this problem for about 2 months now. Sometimes it works fine and sometimes it dosen't move foward or backwards! I used to just slam on the pedal and it would start working again. But this time it wouldn't so I got a push from a friend and now it works again. Does anyone know what this could be?

have you checked your soleniod ? if not jack rear of cart up and jump large post on soleniod if cart runs replace it.....................................

No I have not checked the soleniod. You say to jump large post on soleniod but I'm not sure what you mean. I don't want to sound dumb but Jump it to what?

Use a 6 guage or larger wire and jump the 2 large posts on the solenoid. A jumper cable will work.
