Club Car DS and Getting it Into a Truck Bed

I just got a Club Car DS and I am trying to figure out the best way to get it into my truck bed.
I have a Ram 2500 Super Duty and it sits a bit higher than most trucks, and it has an 8ft bed.

I am not sure what ramps to buy, I have been told not to get 7.5ft ramps, and that's all I seem to be able to find. I am afraid 7.5 ft ramps would be super short and would be a very steep climb into the bed. Any recommendations that wont break the bank? $400 for ramps seems to be crazy to me.

Yep! Put your truck’s rear wheels in a ditch and 7 foot ramps are just fine... just don’t run your bumper thru the back window! Gosh, I still feel pretty foolish over that one!

Yep, can you find a bank/ slope about the right height that you can back up to. You won't need ramps. You only need that on both ends of your trip. [smiley face]

the problem is @Patrick L is I cant rely upon that. At my house where the cart is stored there is nothing. I live in Florida where the land is flat. Nothing is built on ditches, its all retention pods. I cant even think of where the nearest ditch or hill is. which makes loading it at home pretty hard.

Then relying upon having a place to unload it when i get to a campground seems pretty hard to me.... again Florida camp grounds are pretty flat.

I was just looking for a reliable way to do it every time.

Hmmm, I see your problem.... in Michigan, we can use potholes in the asphalt. They’re everywhere! But my new 5.5’ X 10’ trailer with a folding tail ramp makes life easier. I wish you luck. You’ll come up with something.

Hmmm, OK. Can't help I guess other than a trailer or long ramps.

Ya, I was trying to avoid long ramps simply because they are close to $500. Can’t do trailer as I’m pulling a travel trailer

Amazon $120. These have a strap to attach to the bumper to prevent them from kicking out. If you fear driving your cart up a steep ramp. Install a small atv winch behind the cab in the bed and winch the cart in and out.
Or buy a couple 2X10's, cut to your preferred length, buy some ramp ends like in the pic, and make up your own safety straps.

I use the same ones as classy cart posted. I have a Ram 1500 with the 5’7” bed. It has a small lift and it sits the same height as a 2500. I have no problems getting my 1980 Caroche into the bed. The cart also has a small lift which helps it clear the bed.
