Club Car charging

My dad has a 2005 Club Car and I was wandering what turns the charger off at the end of charging? the cart or charger? I work in a factory with all types of electric pallet jacks and forks and always thought the charger shut itself off when battery was fully charged.

Club Car uses a OBC (on board computer) mounted on the cart to monitor the batteries and control the charger.

The other golf cart manufacturers use the charger to control the charge.

Thanx for the welcome. I guess his was bad and it cost him $400.00 to replace it, but I guess it's fixed now anyway.
