Hello
I have a 1986 36v club car. I have installed new batterys, replaced all the speed switches, yet the cart is really slow on even the slightest grade. I was told to check the brush's in the motor for wear.
I plan on removing the motor to check the brush's over the winter. A friend of mine was scrapping a 1985 36 volt club car and told me I could salvage any parts I wanted, when I removed the motor it obviously was a replacement from the original. (I disassembled it and the brush's looked brand new ) The motor date code is "RJN" Club car part # 1017728-01 model# 5BC58JBS6163A, 36 volt 2.97 H.P Special Service.
I'm hoping that this is a newer motor that I can install in my 1986 cart.
I would appreicate any advice.
