cart won't keep running

I have an older ezgo gas cart not sure of the year. It was running when I parked it a couple years ago but now I can't get it to start. I put in fresh gas/oil mix and a new plug. Still would not start. Took gas line off carb and it is pumping gas to the carb just fine. So I put some gas directly into the carb and it started. But seems to die once that gas is used up. Did this several times and same result. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Cartaholics.

You need to pull the carb and clean it with carb cleaner then blow it out with a air compressor.

Agreed!! You could have something clogging up the jet!! I would clean the carb out really good!!!
