cart will not start when hot

My 1989 ez go 2 cycle cart will not start when it stops for a short time. It starts fine when cold, but after riding it until it is hot, when you start it the cart will not start.

hows the compression?

try checking it for spark when it quits some of those coils will work till they get hot than quit until it cools off.................................................................
