Hey guys I have somewhat of an odd problem.
I have a Melex 512E (1995) which I understand is nealry an EZ GO clone. So I'm hoping someone can help me here.
The cart has newer Trojan batteries all holding at the proper voltage.
It uses a Curtis 1204 controller.
I'm somewhat stumped to what the actual cause of my problem. With the key on and a direction selected, when I depress the go pedal it will surge in the selected direction but not move. After this I cannot get the cart to respond to any input unless I cycle the key off and the direction selector to neutral and then back to either forward or reverse.
While troubleshooting the controller and checking the controllers output from (B+ to M-), I've got zero voltage with the pedal up and with the pedal down my voltmeter surges momentarily and then returns to zero. The voltage surge is minimal maybe 5-10 volts.
Does anyone know what would cause this?
Any assistance provided will be appreciated.
