Cart only moves at lowest speed

I have a 1995 EZgo medalist. I was driving down the street at full speed and it just stopped running. There was no pop or noise, it just cut out. After it rolled to a stop, I pushed in the pedal and it did click like normal and start to go at a very slow pace. As I pushed the pedal in further, the cart stopped going and started to shudder. It did this each time I pushed the pedal in. I was able to drive it home at the slow speed, about 10 blocks on level road, but I had to push it up the driveway. I charged it over night, but had the same problem in the morning. It did the same thing about two weeks ago, but started going again after I pushed the pedal in and out several times and ran fine after that. Any help on what I should check and how would be appreciated. I have a multitester, but am not sure what to check for.

When it shudders it is uasually a battery issure. check each battery and the entire battery pack. also check all cables for burn marks and check all connections.

Thanks. I haven't had a chance to look at it yet, but I will start there. The cold weather might be adding to a weak battery problem. Hope they didn't freeze.

One of the batteries is reading 4.3 volts. All of the others read 6.3 to 6.4. Overall voltage is 36.3. The cables on the low battery look good. I need to get a tester to check the water.

What is an ITS ?

If your cart is running it sounds like it could be a batt problem! I don't think that I have ever replaced an ITS sensor, and we sell over 300 carts a year!! And yes we are an E-Z-GO dealer.

The battery with 4.3 volts is bad. One bad battery will cause the shuddering problem you're having. The other batteries may be on their way out to. Take a voltage reading on each battery while your driving the cart.

Replaced the bad battery and charged all. Cart is running again. Will check batteries while moving, but cart is running strong. Thanks for the help.
