cart charge

My Charger is fine when I plug it into my friends Club Car but when I plug it into mine it won't accept the charge. Any solutions?? I'm a new owner of a used cart but I'm fairly knowledgeable with electricty & mechanics.

What year is the cart?

Check the battery pack voltage with a digital meter and make sure you have enough voltage to turn the charger on. Make sure all your connections are clean and tight. Check and add distilled water if needed.
