I have a question, ive read here to make sure the air cleaner box is sealed.what about the guys that drilled a hole in the box?i think it was 1.5 hole, changed the jet or used an aftermarket air filter, wouldnt these be more of a change to air fuel than the lid leaking?just asking a question on tuning of these engines.thanks

Here is my opnion, with a stock setup, the box must be sealed, letting in excess
air will Lean Out the carb. When you change air filters, and or, ReJet, you have to add more air to the system or you will be to Rich. I added the Stainless Steel Header and Performance Mufller, and a K & N Drop In Filter, with the stock airbox, I was REAL RICH, I drilled out the airbox and it got better, I removed the baffle in the airbox, it got better. Then I removed the whole airbox, and put on a Small Cone K & N right on the carb, and it runs perfect.

Hope this helps you.

yes it does thanks,i knew it just had to hear it.In stock form it needs tobe all stock to run, when adding or changing the other than stock parts this is when other rules apply to tune.thanks for the input
