cable brake conversion

HI; I just got this cart in a trade the guy did not want to put a 100. master cyl. in it and the selonoids need replaced as well. My question is since it has a cable e brake could the brakes be converted to cable brakes. this is an 1980 or 81 club car 3 pedal not the caroche body style the first or 2nd year of the newer style looks the same as the 84 i just picked up. I plan on fixing the 84 up. the other one i have out for sale for 200 as it sits. if it sells fine if not when i get time i am going to fix it up or part it out. how hard would it be to change them over?? I would think all the cable stuff from any c/c cloce to that year would work? thanks for any feed back i can get . I have 10 carts now and the wife says fix em or get rid of them. I have to many to work on. so some must go. thanks again o.c.f.

I'm sure you can convert the brakes to mechanical. You'll either need a donor cart or it's going to be expensive. It would probably be cheaper to fix the hydraulic brake system.

Thanks Hotrod, I put it in the yard for sale if it sells fine if not I'll get to it after my cushmans get finished.I do have enough parts to do a mechanical swap. but not the time right now. I looked at a caroche for sale so so cond. for 400. but the brakes were all shot. no help there.the gent said he could get 500 in trade in so it had to be worth a least 400 in the open market. still on C/list . thanks for the input. o.c.f.
