Buss Bar on Solenoids

What is the long bar that links the solenoids together for (buss bar)? Are there supposed to be any wires attached to it or does it just link the solenoids together? Mine has been broken in half and someone has pieced it back together so i need to get a new one. Thanks

I have used a 3/8 copper tubing flattened and drilled to replace broken bars before? It seems heavier than original and in my case SO FAR its working fine.
