Briggs & Stratton Vanguard Oil Pressure Gauge

I don't like not having some way to monitor oil pressure on my new 18 HP Briggs & Stratton Vanguard. Purchased Sunpro oil pressure gauge with 6' of hose and compression fittings for $15.00. Installed hose with compression fittings on top of oil filter and threaded hose to back of dash panel where instructions are. Cut a 2" hole, mounted gauge and secured it with clamps on rear of gauge. Spliced gauge light + to yellow lead from switch,- lead to ground. Works perfectly. Took about 30 minutes. Oil pressure at idle is 30-34 lbs. High rpm, 40 to 44 lbs. I feel much better now that there is a visual monitor.

I'm with you Trojan, the more gauges the better. When you have a lot of money tied up into a v-twin motor you want to know what's going on. You will find yourself glancing the gauge a lot.
