Brake drum

I have a 1997 EZ-Go fleet series cart, I need to check the brake shoes,how do I remove brake drum? Is their a way to hold the axle from turning when trying to remove the axle nut.

If the parking brake won't hold you can either use a impact or pull the dust cap off put the tires back on and roll the cart against something to hold it. I've seen guys use a pry bar through the lug studs also... A impact wrench will make the job easy.
