My brake cables rusted out from battery acid and I need to replace them. I have a 2000 Marathon EZGO electrc cart. I can't figure out how to take out the cotter pin bolts on the rear brake assembly. There is not enough head space to remove them. It appears that I have to release the brake pressure so that the arm moves far enough back to get more head space. Can someone please let me know the correct procedure to do this. I can't find anything on the suject in the repair manual. Thanks.
