crazy also this guy had a QuiQ 4818 mounted 48 volt charger, this is a 42 volt setup 7 six volt batteries, the solenoid is 36 volt. i wont be using that charger and im going with 36 volt. using it to drive around the retirement compound.

You might be better off going with six 8 volt batteries and getting a 48 volt controller seeing how you already have the 48 volt battery charger. The motor will handle 48 volts with no problem. :twocents:

Finished my western project, new controller, resister, wiring harness, batteries, buzzer, ignition switch, cables. Runs like a champ.thank you for all the information (ie) wiring diagrams, this being my first. It started out overwhelming but as I read and researched it became very simple.
