bought a cart at auction

ok so my brothers and i were screwing around at an auction and i ended up with an 1989 club car gas. it cleaned up ok but now how do i go about getting it started? if i put power to the battery and jump the solonid it will turn over but no spark. is their a keyed ignition because behind the dash is 5 wires but no ignition. any help would be appreciated

Welcome to the forum... Good deal on the cart.

Yes there should be a key switch on the dash. There should be a wiring diagram here in the resource forum for the cart.

is there some way to hotwire the ignition so i can see if i can get it started before i spend too much money. there will be lot of that later

You can jump the key switch wires but I'm not sure which ones on a Club Car. Maybe someone else will chime in..
