It has been a while since I have been working on my project but I went and picked up a new set of batteries today and now am starting the 48 volt conversion. I wanted to see what everyone thought should I go with the 500 amp alltrax or the 650 amp alltrax and also this is a standard series cart on 27 inch itp 589s.

The stock series motors hold up well to the higher amp controllers. Seeing how your running 27 inch tires I'd suggest the 650 amp controller. The 500 amp would probably work out ok though. If you plan on a motor upgrade in the future definitely go with the 650 amp controller.
