Best Lift Kit

DI CC IQ

I know that lots of you have lift kits on your carts. I am looking for one but like any investment want to make the right choice. Let me know what you have as well as what you like/don't like about it. I am looking at the 4-6" range since it will be driven only on road (mud puddles excepted.) What other upgrades do I need to make? My CC is a stock '03 DS IQ with a rear seat. Will the back end sag w/o HD springs? Did you replace the shocks, and if so does it make the ride better? Thanks in advance.

You can't go wrong with a Jake's spindle lift, or any other Jakes product, for that matter. I put a spindle lift on my CC and could not be happier with the product. It is a strong and beefy product.
On the back, I do not have a rear seat, I got heavy duty springs and took 2 leaves out. Kept the old shocks. These carts are so light that the shocks last a long time. I figure that if you do not see oil on the shocks, their good to go.

I go along with COPB, Jakes kits are hard to beat. Jakes has lifts with HD springs as part of kit to assure of proper heighth. If you dont want to go with Jakes full kits dont bother to pay $100. plus for a 3-4 leaf HD rear spring set. Go to a spring supply house or auto parts house and buy a spring leaf the same width and thickness, but shorter than stock single leaf. This should solve any problems that you might have. If yours has a negative arch get add on springs with more arch to offset age and ware.
Good luck on your changes.

Shop E Bay. You can comparison shop and find what you want. I paid less than $50 for my HD rear spring. Seems that most people find a HD spring way too stiff. As I have said, I took out a few leaves.
