Battery Question

Hi everyone I just found this fourm and I am new to owning a cart also. I got a 87 Club car last week. First I found that I had a charger problem and I had that repaired. Now when I plug in the charger the meter works and I hear it humming, it did not do this before. My question is I have tested all my batteries and I have one that tests bad, will this keep the cart from running? This might be a dumb question, but I am learning. Thanks for your help in advance.

I used a battery tester, when I threw on the load it showed bad. Would it make a difference if the battery was in the middle of the series instead of being one of the end battery's?

Batteries in series is a string of continuous current flow. Just like folding a garden hose in half, it doesn't matter if you fold one end or the other, the water still stops.

Good analogy. the load meter just read "bad" i'm assuming these are the batteries that it came with. did you check it with a hydrometer or check the water? deep cycle batteries can take a beating and still come back to life.
