battery charger

hey,I have a advanced machine co. 36 volt charger model#12050. Is anyone familliar with this charger,can i use it. The input:120Vac 60hz 11amps output:36Vdc 20amps. In my cart I am running pro master gc-10,they are new dont want to f-em up. also i dont know what the charger is suppose to do,I plugged it in and it read 18 amps,should it stay @18 amps or go down. The output on the charger is 40.3amps on my tester,am I good to go? by the way its a 1984 ds, thanks vinny

You should have a different charger for AGM batteries. The one you have is for lead acid batteries and will overheat/overcharge the AGM's.
I think you will need a new charger or new batteries, your choice.
Check with your battery supplier and ask if you can use a standard ferro-resonant charger for lead acid batteries.

In reguards to my responce I just found a my charger on ebay titled as a golf cat charger,are they wrong? I am not trying to doubt anyone but just wanna make sure,I dont really need to buy a 200-300$ charger if I dont need to

The Deka Pro Master GC-10 batteries are lead acid. The Advanced Machine Co. 12050 36 volt charger you have should work fine with those batteries.

You are correct again HRC. I read the specs and found the word glass mat and assumed it was an AGM battery. Apparently the glass mat refers to the separators.
