Batteries

Hi there and thanks for letting me join the site. I am a new owner of a 92 ez-go 36volt golf cart. My questions are simple and hopefully easy ones to answer.
1. Can the batteries be converted from the 6 trojan 105 batteries, to 3 12volt deep cycle marine batteries?
2. If so, can you help me with the correct hook up?
3. If not can you please tell me why?

thank you and im sure ill have plenty of questions to be searching down on the forum.

Welcome to the forum...

1 - You can use 3 12 volt deep cycles but your run time will be very short and so will the overall life of the batteries...

2 - The conncetions would be just like they are with the 6 batteries...

3 - The golf cart batteries have more lead which = longer runtime. If you use three 12 volt batteries you won't be happy with the performance of your cart...

No problem your welcome...

Sam's has the lowest prices I've seen around here. Some Sam's sell Interstate golf cart batteries and others sell Energizers. I've never used the Energizers but a lot of others have and I haven't heard anything bad yet. The Interstates are very good batteries....
