this is a good example of what happens to stock intake valves after running with the governor turned all the way up. new stock valve on the right
this shows how far the valves will push up into the head, in time there will be no adjustment left on the rockers.

Oops. Being the go-fast guy I am, I diddled with the governor on my 1999 some years ago. Mine will run pretty fast. So, I'm killing the valves? :wallbash:

I did adjust the valves last fall and I had no problem doing the adjustment. Maybe I got lucky and just need to re-adjust the governor to a more reasonable setting.....just as long as I can outrun my neighbor's old 2 stroke EZ-GO.
