advise on controller installed but not working

just checking to see what the next trouble shooting step would be.

the new controller is in and i get green lights when powered up but i just get a loud clicking sound. it only does it when the peddle is pressed down and released..
i am wondering if it could be one of the solenoids as the sound seems to come from that direction of the controller and there are 3 of them there.
 
What year and model is the cart? It should only have one solenoid... Do you get one click or a continuous clicking from the solenoid?
 
i was getting one click..i fixed the problem just a little bit ago.
i was told in another post that if it was a alltraxx it would hook
up the same as the one that came out of the cart..not true..
all the battery leads hook up the same but all the jumpers are different..
the key switch, throttles, f/r were all different. the cart has been
re wired before i got it so color coding wires was no help..i called a buddy
and he pointed me in that direction. works great and it seems to have picked up
2 mph on the gps..dont know how but cool with me.
breaks are next so i can stop the think

i know..i have lots to learn..some of these parts at a glance look the same
i am talking about the 2 elect parts that sit under the controller..i guess i should
know what they are and what they are called..i can show some pics if i am
not making sense

if i were you i,m assuming your gonna do your own work? buy a service manual you,ll never regret it.....................................
