I am mid-swap of the lead acid batteries and resistor throttle and came into a problem.
I am building a 4P20S battery with SPIM08HP (Batteryhookup.com) with throttle controller and battery balancer. I am taking out all of the resistors. the battery is about 32 in long if made in one piece.
I can't figure out a good place to put the battery securely.
I thought that I would be able to put a board over the frame but the frame rails are sloped to the front and gets closer to each other towards the front.
I could separate the battery into 2-3 parts but I only have one battery balancer and want to keep it as one piece for maintenance and simplicity.
One idea I was thinking was to build up the existing battery trays with a wood or metal frame and then lay a board over to get the compartment to have one horizontal surface.
The final battery will be about 1/3rd longer than what is in the photo and without the metal housing.
Any comments on that or has anybody modified their battery compartment to fit one long battery?
I appreciate any comments.
