'99 gas club car won't start

my gas '99 club car doesn't want to start. Checked fuel, checked spark. acts like it wants to start at half throttle but just won't get going.

put it up on jack stands and checked fuel pump, and spark. Any easy way to check rev limiter function or to disable? It got a new spark plug and fuel filters a couple of weeks ago and had been fine but seemed to be loosing power. (that was the reason for the service)

Any ideas are appreciated.

Found an older post with rev limiter and governor disable instructions, still won't start, help!

Got it to run for a short time by removing air hose and covering with my hand after several minutes got it to run on its own for about 5 minutes...died then wouldn't restart.

I had disconnected the fuel line at the carb and the pump is pumping gas to the carb, tried cleaning the carb, no help.

Ideas please!

i would try rebuilding the carb, probably not necessary to buy a kit, just disassemble it, clean it real good, blow it out with compressed air, and re-assemble
