i have 98cc electric, it ran fine until one day while playing a cable on one of the batteries broke at the post. it doesnt have a tow switch so i put in neutral and someone pushed me back and loaded it up. after replacing the cable whenever i push the pedal to the floor it shakes. if i push it slowly it doesnt shake. what could the problem be?

First thing to check is battery voltage, all the cable connections and water/acid level. Take a voltage reading on the individual batteries with no load and while the cart is moving and post your results.

the batteries are brand new interstate batteries from sams. maybe a couple months old. all the connection s are tight. water level in batteries is correct. it ran fine up until the cable broke

I'd check ALL the other cables and connections. 99.9% of the time the shaking is caused from low battery voltage, bad cable or bad connection.

1 to 2 hours after a full charge without using the cart you should see
6.37 on a 6 volt battery
8.49 on a 8 volt battery
The voltage will be slightly lower depending on the age of the batteries. Here's a chart that shows the state of charger percentages.

i followed the skematic in the owners manual and double checked it. i used the cart 5 or 6 times and everything was fine until the cable broke

Hot cables are usually a sign of a bad connection or cable. Let's start with the individual battery voltages. What are they? Do they need water?
