97 CC DS - still won't start w/ new ignition coil?

I am befuddled - thought for sure a new ignition coil would solve the problem. New coil, new plug and still only starts/runs a few seconds by spraying starter fluid into intake.

Is this a fuel problem and how do I refresh fuel system?

Definitely a fuel problem. Pull the fuel line at the carb and crank engine, if you are getting fuel there, then pull the carb and clean. If not, check fuel filters and pick-up tube in tank.

Dangit, still no go. Removed & drained tank, fresh premium gas, still only fires w/ starter fluid through air intake. Cleaned Carb thoroughly still nothing? I guess I give up....

Oh yea, bypassing solonoid does no good either.

Any electrical suggestions are welcome.
