So a buddy brings me his 36 volt electric ezgo said he was hooking lights to it and got some wires mixed up and wired them wrong and now the car wont move. He thought it was the ignition so i put a new ignition on that didnt change anything. Checked the batteries and they are at 37 volts so thats not the problem, changed the soleniod that didnt help either. So I took my volt meter and was checking at the soleniod and when I check at the two big post I get nothing but when checking at the smaller post it checks fine. Any ideas on what the problem could be

What year is the cart? Is it a series, DCS or PDS? Does the solenoid click when you press the pedal? Do you know what wires he mixed up?

Ok the first thing I'd check would be the reed switch. There's instructions in the EZGO resource section of the forum with pictures on how to do that. If the reed switch checks out ok it's very possible the controller is bad. DCS carts are prone to controller issues if you connect electrical stuff up wrong or create a spark when connecting electrical accessories. Remember to always put the run tow switch in the tow position when ever you're working on the electrical system.
