96 club car no spark

will not run unless I take the ground wire off of the box down by the drain plug. What up with it. Just started this. I found this while I was tracing down wires and stumbled on it.

That's the rev limiter. If the cart runs when you unhook the ground the limiter is bad. Here's a link to some troubleshooting for a Club Car with no spark

I got a new rpm limiter and put it on. It didn't start right up ,it turned over about 30 times before it caught. Ran great , buuuuuuut, "there is always a butt in life, when I stopped it would not start back. took off ground wire again on this new rpm limiter, nothing worked. Let it sit for about an hour,cranked it several times it hit and ran great. Its getting fuel. I will go through the check list provided with the link. Without it I would be lost THANKS FOR A GREAT SITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I figured it out!!!!!!!!! Funny how one thing leads to another. It was a little piece of trash in the jet of the carborator,very simple to work on,blew it out and put back on. Running like a top. Kids have been riding on it non stop for about two hours now!!!!!!!!!!!
