when Powerdrive charger is plugged in it clicks but no amps on ammeter. All connections have been checked and are good. Batteries all read 8v. Pack voltage is 48.6v. I checked voltage at charger receptacle and only reads 36v. Receptacle connections and fuses are all good. i reset obc and receptacle reading is same as pack voltage 48.6v I can plug in charger and try to charge and nothing but a click. I take charger out receptacle and voltage reading at receptacle is back to 36v. Any idea of what is wrong?? It has done this intermittingly in the past, now it won't charge at all.

I'm experiencing the same problem. I was told that the on-board computer for the
golf cart was most likely bad because it is the computer that switches the charger on/off
as the batteries reach full charge. Can anyone verify this?

Welcome to the forum...

It could be the OBC. Can you Rey the charger on another cart? Or try a different charger on your cart?

Charger works fine on another cart. I tried to by pass obc by jumping the gray fuse wire to neg. on #6 battery.Still no charge after by pass. If obc is bad shouldn't still have charge with by pass. I am very confused. I am hestitant to spend $200+ on a new obc if that is not the problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

1st the bypass dosn,t always work don,t ask me why but it dosn,t...............but if your charger is working on another cart i would say you have a bad OBC very common problem on that year.........now you can take charger apart and bypass the low voltage sensor and cart will charge it just won,t shut off but i,ll bet you a new OBC and your good to go.............C.C. had lots of OBC issues from 95 to 97 thats why they upgraded the OBC,s several times and they still don,t have it right................................................

Can you tell me how to by pass low voltage in charger? Please be as detailed as possible, I know nothing about the charger. Is there a chance I could damage the charger by doing this?? Thanks in advance for your help.
