96 48V CC Reverse only

I have 96 CC 48V - I replaced all cables, new AXE controller, HD solenoid, HD F/R switch with new Microswitches. Hooked everything up but it only goes in Reverse no matter if the F/R switch is set to F or R.

I have studied the wiring diagrams to be sure I have run wiring correctly plus tried switching a couple of connections but still the same result.

Also, interested in the previous comment about removing the OBC. I was curious if that might be the source of my issue? What does removing the OBC accomplish?

Did the cart run in forward and reverse before the upgrades?

I've never seen a OBC cause a cart to run in one direction only. It sounds to me like you have something wired wrong...

It did for several years with no problems. A few months ago it began to run poorly, then one day it would only go in reverse. GOlf Cart Service Ctr told me the controller failed. Plus promised more performance with new Alltrax.

Batteries were old so I replaced them and the cables which were old as well. Followed Alltrax spec and replaced solenid and F/R swich with HD.

I am assuming it is a wiring issue. Just can't figure it out. Have Club Car and Alltrax wiring diagrams.

I guess my basic question is what wiring snafu would create the reverse only condition?

If this started happening all at once before you did the upgrades it kind of rules out the wiring being the problem. Are the micro switches on the forward and reverse switch working like they should.

I noticed a comment in an earlier blog about the difference in the terminals when hooking up the solenoid. If I switched the wires leading to the small terminal connectors would that create the Reverse only issue?

I am going to re-check small wire leads to the controller today as well.
