94 CC Gas Runs Too Rich

Just purchased a 1994 Gas Club Car. The guy that owned it replaced the carb. It seems to run too rich nomatter how you adjust the carb setting. An recommendations.

Is the choke opening all the way? Have you adjusted the valves lately?

Not hard at all. Here's a link to detailed instructions. Make sure the engine is cold when adjusting the valves.

Could be that it is not getting enough air. Does it run better if you take the air hose off? If so, take the air box apart and make sure something didn't build a nest. These Club Cars are ver AIR SENSITIVE. If the engine has been rebuilt, it may need more air too.
