93 ezgo marathon upgrade or not

I guess i should start bye telling you my thoughts for ur help. I have a 93 ezgo marathon great workhorse and reliable never real had any problems with it other than its just slow. Well with that being said what I would like to know is would I be happier on spending my money on serious upgrades on this cart or just bye a new gas or electric, by serious upgrades im talkig new bats 48volt,controller,cables,upgrade mtr etc. Cart is in decent shape for its age primary use is riding around town on the weekends on secondary roads lots of hills and main roads to cross take it to the dragstrip and use to tow my sons jr dragster and ride around the track.

Well, that is completely your call. If your not into the "build something cool your self out of something old" thing, it would probly be better to just put the $ into a newer cart. just my

I agree with OP. If you really like the cart you have now go for it. In the long run you may be better off selling the Marathon and using the cash from it and the cash you would spend upgrading it on a newer cart. I've alway like the Marathons and if it's in good shape it's worth putting some money into it for sure. So either way you'll be happy. It boils down to how much you like the Marathon.
