92 Club Car May Need To Repair Or Replace Engine

Hello guys-N-gals. Newbe here. I'm thinking of looking at a 1992 club car, gas driven.
It hasn't run for a couple years and the engine May be frozen. I can fix a engine. Been working for Shell Oil for 34 yrs, as a machinist and a mechanical inspector. So, I'm not worried about being able to repair the engine or the tranny.
I'm thinking, for $500, I may need to repair or replace the engine, which ever is the better value.
What thoughts do you have on the 1992 gas models

Welcome to the forum.

If it was me I'd look for something newer unless it's a super good deal.
It's easy enough to see if the engine is locked up just grab the clutch and see if you can turn it.

Thanks. The pics of the cart looks good (if current).
I just may check it out tomorrow. They are asking $550 but I may set my limit to $300. I'll talk up the fact that the money it would take to get it running, I can get one already running.

Well, I decided not to peruse the 92 club car. My reason was that it's engine rotates in the opposite direction than a Honda or Briggs engine, if I want to upgrade the engine.
The search contines....

I think it was 1997 when Club Car changed to Clockwise on the engine rotation.
You can use clockwise engines in the older ones and use reverse gear for forward.
