91 Electric Yamaha Cart

Hello all. My Father a new retiree has purchased a used 1991 36v Electric Yamaha Golf Cart. For the first few months it worked like a top, as of last week he drove it to the Golf course and on hole 1 it died. The reverse buzzer works fine. but when it is placed into forward or reverse it goes nowhere and make no noise. We have replaced what we thought were bad battery cables but no luck. We have charged the cart as normal.

I dont know a whole lot more about it other than it is basically stock. What could it be and what could we do to test it to verify what exactly the issue is?

Could be several things causing the problem. Does the solenoid click when you try to drive the cart? Try jumping the two large posts on the solenoid and see if it runs. Check ALL you cable connections.

no the selanoid does not click when trying to accelerate. All cables have been checked and some have been replaced. Will try jumping the selanoid. Keep you posted thanks.
