89 ezego 2 stroke

I am trying to get some help. i have jus done a complete rebuild o my 89 EZGO crank, bearings, seals, jug, piston, rings the hole 9 yards but now it will start up run balls to the wall then die and start right back up but wont keep going what the hell could i have done wrong any ideas?

Sounds like a lean fuel problem.

i put a new fuel pump on and it still seems like it is,nt pumping enough what could cause this problem if it has a crank case leak i do not no where it could be at

Start simple.

Look at the things you haven't gone over. Did you clean the carb? The main jet or needle & seat could cause this.

i just took it out of the cleaning tank tonight and thats when i got it to do what it is doing now and carb was new in the summer last year

How long does it run?

it runs for about 10 to 15 sec. and then shuts down then it will start back up it is also back fireing through the carb forgot to mention that

What about the fuel pick-up?

where is that at do not want to sound dumb but not sure what you mean
