nubs, yes theres a drive clutch puller......all it is .......is the long bolt that you thread in and tighten down to pull clutch off shaft.............yes you can buy them and if your good enough with the right metal i suppose you can make one although i have never heard of a home made one............they work like a charm, when i bought mine they were 14.99 i think now there close to 40 bucks...................................................

I think there's a thread here somewhere that has the info on making a Club Car drive clutch puller. I'll see if I can dig it up later.

The only info I found here was for making a clutch puller for a EZGO.

Here's a pic of a Club Car clutch puller but it's for 88 and newer. I'm not sure what's different on a 85.

The threads are 7/16x20

I took an old clutch bolt and cut the head off and put a slot in the end for a screwdriver. I already had another puller with the same thread pitch and diameter as the clutch bore. It works like a charm but had I not had the stuff to make my own, I would have bought one.

I made one with a grade 8 bolt that fits the threads in the clutch, then I cut of an old 1/4 inch drive extension to lengh "about 5 3/8" in lenght". I used an extension because it in hardened and tempered steel and will not "mushroom" and get stuck in the crank shaft. I just slid the rod in, threaded the bolt in, and gave it a quick hit with an impact on low. Popped the clutch right off.
