83 ezgo runs better in reverse

I have pulled the flywheel off thinking it would have 2 pickup coils 1 for forward and 1 for reverse, thinking the forward 1 was out of adjustment since I have a clicking sound when it runs in forward. I did not know that it is a single pickup coil with 2 lobes on the flywheel. I have not checked compression yet, but it starts and runs pretty good in reverse. Any ideas what this could be? Still wondering about the clicking in forward that I can't locate.

The 2 strokes run in both directions for forward and reverse. It's pretty common for compression to be lower in the forward direction seeing how the cart runs that direction much more. Check the compression in both directions.

I have checked compression it is 118 in forward and 121 in reverse. I have a blue spark maybe a bit weak , but it looks like I can see a bit of yellow in there. Can anyone tell me where to get a pulsar coil at thats not $110? Also is it worth putting the HEI module on the cart? Thanks Keith
